Cuius regio, eius historia – Macedonian Historiography and Identity Narratives, 1944–2011Macedonian historians by calling upon certain past events perceived as traumatic mobilizing deep-rooted stereotypes prejudices against the neighboring countries sought to manipulate public opinion. It seems that also today many representatives of elite still see fight for position in historical culture a primary aim their existence sphere. They linked current political social situation so-called traditions saw national identity threatened Albanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Serbian nationalists.
